Chi-Ting Tsai

Experience

Chi-Ting Tsai, an associate professor with the Department of Political Science of National Taiwan University, earned his J.S.D from Cornell University. He specializes in public international law, marine policy, constitutional law and international human rights. Tsai’s research focuses are: international maritime law and international human rights law. Most of his journal publications in recent years concern international maritime law, transitional justice and constitutional theories. At present, Tsai’s research focus on maritime law pertains to the management of maritime environment, such as marine biodiversity protections that exist outside of national jurisdiction, and rigorous management of greenhouse gas emissions by ships and vessels. He applies mixed methods combining quantification and qualification to his study of international human rights, to explore the transitional justice mechanism in a beleaguered society, and how it impacts the social justice systems.

蔡季廷

經歷/ 蔡季廷副教授在康乃爾大學獲得法學博士（J.S.D）學位後，於臺大開授國際

公法、海洋政策、憲法、與國際人權等課程。他的主要研究領域為國際海洋法和國際人權法。近年來，他所發表的期刊論文，主要集中於國際海洋法、轉型正義、與憲政理論等議題。目前，他在海洋法的研究主題集中在海洋環境治理問題，包括關國家管轄權外之生物多樣性保護以及船舶溫室氣體排放管制。他在國際人權法的研究上，則是以量化與質化的混合研究方法，分析後衝突社會的轉型正義機制，對後衝突社會司法體系的影響。
